Smells Like Nirvana is a tribute act from Tilburg that zeroes in on one very specific night: 18 November 1993, when Nirvana recorded their now legendary MTV Unplugged session in New York. Rather than covering the full Nirvana catalogue, the band reconstructs that single concert, keeping the intimate, acoustic atmosphere of the original. The lineup includes cello, two guitars, bass, percussion and accordion, giving the songs a warm, layered sound that leans into their darker textures. Between tracks, the story of Nirvana unfolds, from a young band out of Aberdeen growing into a global phenomenon, and the price that came with it.
