About
Twin sisters Katie and Allison Crutchfield reunited as Snocaps, their first time recording together since their old band PS Eliot called it a day. The project also marked Allison's return to new music after a seven year gap, and the pair went into it with a refreshingly low key mindset: no grand ambitions, just making something they themselves wanted to hear. They were joined by guitarist MJ Lenderman and producer Brad Cook, and the whole record came together over a single week in the studio. The result is their self titled debut, a record Katie described as reconnecting with the earliest, purest versions of their music making selves. Released as a surprise on Halloween 2025, it draws on indie rock and pop sensibilities and earned a spot on Pitchfork's list of new albums worth your time straight out of the gate.
