Snow Strippers make the kind of electronic music that sounds like it was recorded in a blackout, and that's very much the point. The duo, made up of singer Tatiana Schwaninger and producer Graham Perez, draws on electroclash, witch house, shoegaze, and new rave to create something critics have called everything from "electronic chaos" to an "icy eargasm sound". They're frequently compared to Crystal Castles, and it's easy to hear why: there's a digitised rawness to their work that feels more punk than polished. They came up fast, going from self releasing their debut album in 2022 to signing with both Surf Gang Records and Diplo's Mad Decent by 2023. Their mixtape April Mixtape 3 followed, then a feature on Lil Uzi Vert's Pink Tape, and the Night Killaz extended plays in late 2023 and 2024. "Under Your Spell" found a whole new audience when it got picked up in short form content tied to the TV series Dexter.
