Few guitarists can claim a resume like Snowy White's. The Devon born blues and rock player spent stretches backing Pink Floyd on their 1977 In the Flesh tour, where he soloed on 'Have a Cigar' and 'Shine on You Crazy Diamond', then crossed over to become a full member of Thin Lizzy from 1980 to 1982, co writing and recording on their Chinatown and Renegade albums. Somewhere in between, he laid down guitar on Richard Wright's solo debut Wet Dream. His 1983 single 'Bird of Paradise' broke into the UK Top 10 and gave him a foothold as a solo artist in his own right. The connection to Roger Waters ran deep too, from The Wall concert in Berlin in 1990 to multiple world tours through the 2000s. David Gilmour even dropped by to play on White's 1994 album Highway to the Sun. After announcing his retirement from live performance in 2019 due to health reasons, White has kept recording, with a string of albums under his own name and with the White Flames band stretching well into the 2020s.
