About
Also known as: S O H N
Sohn is what happened when Christopher Taylor wound down his earlier project Trouble Over Tokyo after four albums and started over with a new name. The first Sohn songs, "Warnings" and "Oscillate", went up on SoundCloud in 2010, and the EP The Wheel followed on Aesop in 2012. 4AD signed him in 2013, and the single "Bloodflows" climbed to number one on the Amazing Radio chart. Pitchfork called it his most sorrowful, powerful success yet. His debut album Tremors landed in 2014, with Rennen following in 2017 and Trust in 2022. Along the way he produced for Aquilo, Banks and Kwabs, and his song "Carry Me Home" played over the end credits of Insurgent. In 2020 he put out a live album recorded with the 54 piece Metropole Orkest in Amsterdam, a one off show that turned electronic songs into something much bigger.
