About
Dublin's Sprints make the kind of guitar music that feels like stumbling across someone's most private thoughts. Their sound sits somewhere between garage punk and alt rock, all breathless energy and cut glass melody, with frontwoman Karla Chubb's songwriting pulling inspiration from Patti Smith, PJ Harvey, and Siouxsie and the Banshees. Their 2021 EP Manifesto tackled bodily autonomy and the campaign to repeal Ireland's eighth amendment, showing early on that they weren't interested in keeping things surface level. Their debut album Letter to Self landed in January 2024 to widespread critical acclaim, and they toured hard behind it across Europe, the US and the UK. After a line up change saw founding guitarist Colm O'Reilly exit, Zac Stephenson stepped in permanently, and the recharged four piece got straight back to work. Their second album All That Is Over followed in September 2025, preceded by singles including "Descartes", "Rage", "Beg" and "Better".
