About
StAD make indie pop sung entirely in the Gronings dialect, the regional language of Groningen. Eight members strong, the band has a remarkably wide sonic range, moving between delicate melodic stretches and quieter moments on one end, and jagged guitars with full on bursts of energy on the other. That combination of intimacy and noise gives their sound a texture that sets them apart from most acts working in the genre.
