Susanne Sundfør has a knack for reinventing herself without losing the thread that makes her unmistakable. The Norwegian singer songwriter and producer from Haugesund built her reputation on piano driven pop, then pushed hard into ambitious electronic territory with The Brothel in 2010, an album that topped the Norwegian charts and became the best selling record in the country that year. She later said it was the first time she truly felt she had found her sound. Her fourth album, Ten Love Songs (2015), brought her international attention with its electronic dance pop sensibility, while Music for People in Trouble (2017) pulled in the opposite direction entirely, stripping things back to folk and acoustic textures. Four consecutive number one albums in Norway is no small thing. Her sixth album, Blómi, arrived in 2023.
