About
Swamp of the Low North is a three piece band from Hallum whose sound sits squarely in the territory where blues, swamp and americana overlap. Their influences run from The Doors and John Fogerty through to Cream, Rory Gallagher and J.J. Cale, a lineage that gives you a pretty clear picture of the warm, groove heavy direction they take. A big part of their focus is the deep, hypnotic feel of Mississippi Delta music, though they never stay in one lane for too long. Catch them on a good night and you get the murky, unhurried pulse of swamp blues sitting right next to some serious guitar fireworks.
