About
Also known as: Swedish House Maffia, Sweedish House Mafia
Swedish House Mafia are the Stockholm trio of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, widely credited with dragging progressive house out of the underground and into the mainstream around 2009 and 2010, arguably more than any other act of that era. Early hits like "One (Your Name)" featuring Pharrell Williams and "Miami 2 Ibiza" with Tinie Tempah put them on charts worldwide, and their compilation Until One went gold in the UK and platinum in Sweden. After a high profile farewell tour and a final bow at Ultra Miami in 2013, the three went their separate ways for five years before reuniting in 2018. Their first proper studio album, Paradise Again, arrived in 2022 with collaborators including The Weeknd and Sting, hitting number one on both the UK Dance Albums chart and Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. More recently, 2024 saw them back on the Swedish charts with "Lioness" featuring Niki and the Dove, and 2025 brought fresh material in the form of "Wait So Long".
