Switchfoot

About

Switchfoot built their reputation on a sound that sits somewhere between arena rock anthems and something more searching and personal. The San Diego band, led by brothers Jon and Tim Foreman, broke into the mainstream when four of their songs landed in the 2002 film A Walk to Remember, setting up their major label debut The Beautiful Letdown. That record went triple platinum on the strength of "Meant to Live" and "Dare You to Move", two of the most recognizable rock singles of the 2000s. Their fifth album Nothing Is Sound pushed even harder, debuting at number three on the Billboard 200, and Hello Hurricane later took home a Grammy for Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album. Though they came up through the Christian rock world, Switchfoot always aimed past genre walls, and their live shows have long been a draw in their own right, described as loud, energetic and genuinely passionate. The band has kept at it across 13 studio albums, with their most recent release Forever Now arriving in 2026.
