The Animals left a permanent mark on rock history when they became the second British band ever to reach number one in the United States, with "House of the Rising Sun". The record sold millions of copies and kicked off a remarkable run: more than twenty Top 10 chart entries worldwide, twelve of them in the UK alone. They were also trailblazers in a more literal sense, becoming the first British band to tour Japan and Poland. The Animals & Friends carries that legacy forward, built around original Animals members John Steel, Danny Handley, Barney Williams and Norm Helm. Their sets draw on the full catalogue of classic tracks, from "We Gotta Get Out of This Place" and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" to "Boom Boom", "Baby Let Me Take You Home", "I Put a Spell on You" and of course "House of the Rising Sun". Raw rhythm and blues, played the way it was always meant to sound.
