Black Box Revelation are a two piece garage and blues rock duo from Dilbeek, Belgium, built around the raw interplay between Jan Paternoster on guitar and vocals and drummer Dries Van Dijck. Their sound pulls from 60s garage rock while keeping things loose and trashy, and the New York Times compared Paternoster's vocals to Iggy Pop and Mick Jagger in the same breath. Their debut album Set Your Head on Fire made a serious impact, shifting over 30,000 downloads in Belgium alone and landing the single "I Think I Like You" at the top of the radio charts. Their second album Silver Threats hit number one on the Flemish Ultratop chart in February 2010, and the band picked up two Music Industry Awards in Flanders shortly after. Their third record My Perception was recorded in Hollywood with producer Alain Johannes, known for his work with Queens of the Stone Age, and backed by a US label partly owned by David Letterman. They toured the States extensively, opening for acts like Jane's Addiction and Beady Eye, and have played festivals from Rock Werchter and Pukkelpop to Bonnaroo.
