A two piece outfit from Windsor, Ontario, The Blue Stones make a surprisingly big noise for a duo. Tarek Jafar handles vocals, guitar, bass and keys while Justin Tessier holds things down on percussion, and together they've built a reputation for blues rock with real grit to it. Their debut LP Black Holes got a second life when they signed to Entertainment One and re released it in 2018, and the momentum carried them to a Juno nomination for Breakthrough Group of the Year in 2020. Their 2021 follow up Hidden Gems was co written and produced by Mutemath's Paul Meany, showing a willingness to push their sound somewhere new without losing what makes them them. Pretty Monster came in 2022 and earned a Rock Album of the Year nomination at the 2024 Junos. Their fourth studio album Metro landed in March 2025, supported by singles including "Your Master", "Kill Box" and "Come Apart", proof the duo shows no signs of slowing down.
