About
The Creaking Bones are a blues rock band drawing members from the Dutch towns of St. Oedenrode, Schijndel and Den Bosch, formed in 2013. After a few lineup changes the group settled into its current four piece shape: Monique de Gans on vocals, Jan Foolen on bass, Gert Jan Mathijsen on guitar and Ger Jan Bolwerk on drums. Their sound is rooted in the heavier, grittier side of 1960s and 1970s blues rock, though they leave room for quieter moments too. Live, they draw on material from acts like The Cream, The Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Jethro Tull, and keeping things enjoyable for the crowd is clearly the priority.
