Chrissie Hynde once called The Delta Saints "the best band I've heard in ten years" after touring with them in the USA, which tells you a lot about where this Nashville group sits in the rock landscape. Drawing heavily on Led Zeppelin and the Allman Brothers, they cook up a sound that one German critic described as music from "young men" that "sounded positively old", rooted in blues, soul and roots with a raw, lived in feel. The band built their name the hard way, starting with two self released EPs before Dixiefrog Records combined them into a self titled album in 2011. Their crowdfunded 2013 record Death Letter Jubilee pushed them onto bigger stages, including a support slot for Blackberry Smoke. They kept the momentum going with Bones on Loud and Proud Records in 2015, then wrapped things up with Monte Vista in 2017, recorded in just six days at Nashville's Sound Emporium.
