Few bands in post hardcore have made technical guitar work sound as visceral and unpredictable as The Fall of Troy. The Mukilteo, Washington trio built their reputation on unorthodox song structures, a ferocious live energy, and the kind of fretboard acrobatics that make other guitarists quietly reassess their life choices. Thomas Erak handles guitars, vocals, and keyboards, Andrew Forsman holds down the drums, and Jon Henry Batts rounds out the low end on bass. Their second album Doppelgänger put them on the map in a real way, powered largely by the single "F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X.", which turned up in Saints Row, MLB 2K6, and Guitar Hero III and earned serious airplay on MTV and FUSE. The follow up Manipulator brought in guest vocals and keyboards from Nouela Johnston and earned strong reviews from Kerrang! and Metal Hammer. Over the years the band has split up and reformed, but they have kept releasing music, with six full length albums and several EPs to their name.
