About
The Glamrocks built their show around one very specific love: the glam rock of the early 1970s, when acts like Sweet, Slade, David Bowie, Queen and Alice Cooper were ruling the charts in outrageous outfits. The band stages a full production called The Glory of Glamrock, where the glitter and the guitar riffs arrive in equal measure. The five piece lineup brings together musicians with serious Dutch music credentials: drummer Toni Peroni and keyboardist René Meister both played in Het Goede Doel, vocalist Marcel van den Berg performed with the Amstel Live Band, guitarist Alfred van der Linden is known from Bintangs, and bassist Rob Smeink comes from The Beuk Brothers. Presenter and radio DJ Henkjan Smits, a jury member on Idols, X Factor and Holland's Got Talent, joins the show to share stories and anecdotes about the era between songs.
