About
The GrooveBuzz is a band with a social mission woven into its DNA. The foundation behind the same name uses music and creative projects to give people from vulnerable backgrounds a platform to discover their talents, build confidence, and work toward independence. That purpose shapes everything the band does, from studio work to live performance. Musically, The GrooveBuzz draws on soul, funk, pop and classic rock, blending them into a warm and energetic sound. Their album Hit in the Heart features original compositions by drummer and music veteran Leon Klaasse, with artistic direction from saxophonist Peter Romijn, known from The Wild Romance. The lineup includes lead vocalist Mieke de Jongh, alongside a full band covering keys, bass, guitar, backing vocals and horns.
