Noah Dillon and Chandler Lucy make up The Hellp, a Los Angeles electronic duo whose sound sits somewhere between gritty 2000s electroclash and indie rock. Pitchfork summed it up well when reviewing their 2024 Atlantic Records album LL, calling it a "digitized mutation" of those influences and scoring it a 7.0. NPR's Ann Powers and Hazel Cillis flagged it as some of the most compelling new music that week. LL featured a co production with 2hollis and vocals from Sabrina Fuentes of Pretty Sick, showing the duo is happy to bring collaborators into their world. The Hellp have been building their catalog steadily since their debut Twin Sinner in 2016, through EPs like Curtis, Lucy, and Enemy, and a remix EP that pulled in Xiu Xiu and CFCF. Their fashion sense got a nod in The Guardian as part of the indie sleaze revival conversation, though they push back on that label. In 2025 they followed LL with a third studio album, Riviera, preceded by singles including "Here I Am".
