The Hillbilly Moonshiners take pop and rock songs from artists like Billie Eilish, AC/DC, Blink 182, Michael Jackson and Beyoncé and rebuild them entirely as banjo picking, foot stomping bluegrass. The six piece band brings a heavy dose of southern flair and tight musicianship to the material, complete with rapid fire banjos, layered harmonies and a rhythm section that never lets up. It sounds absurd on paper, but live it absolutely works. They have played over 600 shows across Europe, appeared at major festivals including Paaspop, Zwarte Cross, Concert at SEA and Sziget, and sold out TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht. Along the way they have shared stages with acts such as Dropkick Murphys, Kasabian and Kensington. The six members go by the names Sam Stone, Marty the Aussie, Larry the Goose, Marty the Geek, Nicky 'the bulldog from Jackson' Brown and Jean Michel Gauthier.
