About
The Jackets are a trio from Bern, Switzerland, playing fuzzy garage punk with big hooks and a lot of swagger. Out front is Jack Torera, who tends to show up in heavy eyeliner and runs the whole thing with plenty of attitude. The band sits on the Voodoo Rhythm roster, a label known for its raw, no frills rock and roll. Their sound is stripped down and loud, built on catchy choruses and a rough, fuzzed up edge. It sits somewhere between garage rock, punk, power pop and straight up rock and roll, and fans of the garage scene everywhere from Spain to Los Angeles to London have picked up on it. Live, they lean hard into that same energy, which is a big part of why venues keep inviting them back.
