About
The Jins are a three piece alternative rock band out of Vancouver who named themselves after pigeons, and mean it genuinely. Frontman Ben Larsen has talked about feeling a kinship with the birds during his time living in the Downtown Eastside, seeing them as misunderstood creatures sharing the city without quite belonging to it. That sense of being on the outside looking in carries through their music. Since their self titled 2017 debut on Bandcamp, the band has steadily built momentum. Their 2019 EP Death Wish was followed by the single "Metro", which peaked at number two on the Canadian Breaking Alt chart in 2022. Their 2023 album It's a Life, produced by Dave Genn and mixed by Adam Kasper, came out on 604 Records, and their 2024 single "Crutch" also hit number two on that same chart. They have shared stages with Buckcherry, Hockey Dad, and Rare Americans.
