About

Sydney's The Lazy Eyes have carved out a serious niche in psychedelic rock, blending fuzzy guitar textures with the kind of melodic sensibility that gets tracks added to heavy rotation. Their song "Fuzz Jam" hit number one on national youth radio Triple J's most played chart for November 2021, and the band followed that up with a memorable live performance on Triple J's prestigious "Like a Version" segment, where they also took on the Bee Gees' "More Than a Woman". Their 2022 debut album SongBook, released through The Orchard, earned a 9 out of 10 from Clash Magazine and praise from Spin Magazine. Since then they have sold out headline shows across Australia, the US and the UK, played festivals including St. Jerome's Laneway, Splendour in the Grass and The Great Escape, supported the Strokes, and even launched their own festival, Lazyfest. The band's name, by the way, comes from a lyric in Beach House's track "Common Girl".
