The Olllam is an Irish fusion group that counts Vulfpeck bassist Joe Dart among its members, which gives you a sense of the musical company they keep. The band released a self titled debut in 2012 and followed it up a decade later with Elllegy in 2022, showing they're in no rush but clearly still at it. Dart, who is one of the most celebrated bassists working today, brings his deep grounding in funk, jazz and R&B to the group alongside the Irish fusion sensibility that defines their sound. The long gap between records hasn't dimmed interest in the project, especially as Dart's profile has grown enormously through his work with Vulfpeck and The Fearless Flyers.
