About
Operator is the musical project of Johnny Strong, an LA based actor who decided making post grunge records was just as natural as appearing in films like Black Hawk Down and The Fast and the Furious. Strong writes, plays guitar, bass, and piano, and handles vocals himself in the studio, then assembles a full band when it comes time to play live. The Atlantic Records debut Soulcrusher, released in 2007, shifted over 110,000 copies and cracked the top 15 of the heatseekers chart, with tracks like "Nothing to Lose" landing on the Burnout Paradise soundtrack and "Soulcrusher" turning up in Madden NFL 08 and as a TNA Wrestling pay per view theme. Strong has made clear he considers Operator an ongoing concern, with releases continuing through Volume 7: White Light in 2018.
