Four chart topping albums, over 20 million records sold, and a string of singles that became inescapable on both sides of the Atlantic. The Script have been one of Ireland's biggest musical exports since their self titled debut landed at number one in the UK and Ireland in 2008, with tracks like "The Man Who Can't Be Moved", "Breakeven" and "Hall of Fame" cementing their reputation for anthemic, emotionally direct pop rock. Frontman Danny O'Donoghue also moonlighted as a coach on The Voice UK, though he stepped away to keep the band his main focus. The band's story took a painful turn in April 2023 when co founder and guitarist Mark Sheehan passed away at 46 after a brief illness. Rather than call it a day, the remaining members pushed forward, releasing new music including the tracks "Both Ways" and "At Your Feet", as well as a video for "Man In The Arena" in 2026, showing the band still very much active and finding their footing in a new chapter.
