The Simon & Garfunkel Story is a theatrical concert production that traces the full arc of one of pop music's most iconic partnerships. It covers how two kids from Queens started out in the 1950s under the name Tom and Jerry, made it big with hits in the 1960s, then went through a dramatic split before pursuing separate solo careers. Songs like 'The Sound of Silence', 'Bridge Over Troubled Water', 'Mrs. Robinson', 'Scarborough Fair', 'The Boxer' and 'Homeward Bound' all feature. The show is directed by Dean Elliott, who previously played the lead in The Buddy Holly Story, an Olivier Award nominated West End musical. The production builds toward a recreation of the legendary 1981 reunion concert in Central Park, which drew an audience of 500,000 people. It sits comfortably in the folk rock and pop rock territory that made the original duo so enduring, and works as both a live music experience and a storytelling show.
