About
The Space Choir brings something genuinely fresh to the Dutch choral scene. The group draws in a wildly mixed crowd of members, from twenty somethings to retirees, seasoned singers alongside complete beginners, and a strong queer community at its core. Everyone grooves together, and that inclusive energy comes through in their performances. Their repertoire leans pop, covering tracks like Daisies by Justin Bieber, Bodyguard by Beyoncé, and Back on 74 by Jungle, and audiences tend to respond with dancing, laughter, singing along, and the occasional tear. Their profile got a serious boost when Australian pop star Troye Sivan shared a video of them, which sent Dutch media scrambling. Coverage followed from Het Parool, Hart van Nederland, 3FM, and Editie NL. They were also in the running for Holland's Got Talent and have played to sold out crowds at both De Doelen and the Melkweg.
