Out of San Francisco, The Stone Foxes cook up a rugged blend of blues rock, hard rock, and old school rock and roll built on classic blues structures and big shout along moments. Their cover of Slim Harpo's "I'm A King Bee" landed in a national Jack Daniel's ad campaign, and songs like "Stomp" and "Everybody Knows" showed up on Sons of Anarchy and a string of other TV spots. They have shared stages with The Black Keys, Cage the Elephant, and ZZ Top, and played festivals like Outside Lands and SXSW. The band has never been afraid to reinvent itself. After a lineup overhaul in 2013, they released Small Fires, then pulled off the ambitious Foxes First Friday project, dropping a free song every first Friday of the month before compiling them into the album Twelve Spells in 2015. Forbes took note of how they pulled it off without label backing. The band, now anchored by brothers Shannon and Spence Koehler, has kept releasing music into the 2020s, including the Gold EP and their 2022 album On the Other Side.
