Tigers Jaw have been quietly one of the most reliable names in emo and indie rock since forming in Scranton, Pennsylvania in 2005. Pitchfork summed up their sound well: the jangle of old indie rock, the stylization of the new wave, and the introspective community spirit of fourth wave emo bands, for whom Tigers Jaw are something of an authority figure. After a near breakup in 2013 that saw co founder Adam McIlwee depart, the group rebuilt around Ben Walsh and Brianna Collins, eventually settling into a full five piece lineup. Their fourth album Charmer cracked the Billboard Charts in 2014, and they followed it with Spin in 2017, which produced fan favourites like "Guardian" and "June". After signing to Hopeless Records, they dropped I Won't Care How You Remember Me in 2021. Their latest album, Lost on You, arrived in March 2026, with the single "Primary Colors" getting its own music video early that year.
