About
Tijmen de Koning is a guitarist who co runs Popup Choir, a participatory singing event billed as the most accessible choir night in the Netherlands. Alongside conductor Maarten Bos, he leads audiences through learning to sing a single song in multiple parts. The repertoire ranges widely, from classic pop like California Dreamin' by The Mamas and the Papas to contemporary tracks by Taylor Swift. Rather than a conventional concert, Popup Choir flips the format entirely: de Koning and Bos lead, and everyone in the room sings.
