About
Straight out of the Tokyo underground, Tō Yō pull from garage rock, stoner rock and psychedelic rock to build something that refuses to sit still. Brooding, heavy psychedelia collides with hypnotic krautrock grooves, and improvisation is always part of the deal. The result is a live sound that feels genuinely unpredictable. The band has done European touring, leaving dazed crowds at festivals including SonicBlast Fest and Freak Valley Festival. They have a second studio album in the works, their first in three years. If their track record is anything to go by, it will not be a record that plays it safe.
