About
Tonic Walter is a duo from Altenstadt, Germany working in deep house, melodic house and techno. Their debut album, It All Comes Together, centred on themes of connection and transformation, while their second record II takes a noticeably darker turn, exploring tension, distance and the fragile space between hope and collapse. Sonically it builds from spherical pads, organic grooves, analogue synthesizers and raw electronic textures, pulling off the tricky balance of feeling both intimate and expansive, melancholic and euphoric at the same time. What sets them apart live is how they bring the emotional weight of a live band into the world of melodic house and techno. That combination has earned them a reputation for sets that feel genuinely dynamic rather than just loud, the kind of shows where the atmosphere shifts and builds rather than sitting at one constant pitch.
