About

Also known as: UKISS, 유키스, 유키스 (U-KISS)

U KISS earned some unusual firsts for a K pop group. In 2012 they were the first K pop act to hold a fan meeting in Cambodia, and the first Asian group to play the Los 40 Principales concert in Colombia. A year later they were only the second Korean artist to headline a solo show in Mexico. The name is an acronym for Ubiquitous Korean International Idol Super Star, and they've sung in Korean, Japanese, Chinese, English and Spanish. The Seoul group formed in 2008 and went through a few line up changes before settling on Soohyun, Hoon, Kiseop, Alexander Lee and Eli. Their breakthrough came with "Man Man Ha Ni" from the EP ContiUKiss, and their early hit "Bingeul Bingeul" was a big one in the Philippines. They made their formal Japanese debut in 2011 with "Tick Tack", and were among the first K pop groups to put out original albums in Japanese. Their 2015 album Action hit number one on Japan's Oricon Albums Chart.
