About
United Progressive Fraternity is the brainchild of Australian vocalist Mark Trueack, who launched the project after his previous band Unitopia went in different directions. Rather than a conventional band, Trueack envisioned a musical brotherhood united around themes of climate change and a better future for the planet, which shaped the whole UPF sound and philosophy from the start. Collaborations with progressive rock legends Jon Anderson and Steve Hackett helped define the group's progressive direction, and fellow Unitopia alumni including Guy Manning and Steve Unruh were part of the early lineup. Their debut album Fall in Love with the World came out in 2014 on InsideOut Music. A second full release, Planetary Overload Volume 1: Loss, followed in 2019, with Volume 2: Hope arriving in 2023 on Progrock.com, completing an ambitious two part concept project that had been years in the making.
