Usher's fourth album Confessions, released in 2004, remains the best selling album by a Black artist of the 21st century and holds a diamond certification from the RIAA. That record dropped four consecutive number one singles in the US, "Yeah!", "Burn", "Confessions Part II", and "My Boo", cementing his status as one of the defining R&B voices of his era. Rolling Stone ranked him among the greatest singers of all time, and Billboard named him the top Hot 100 artist of the 2000s as a whole decade. Across a career spanning more than 30 years, Usher has sold over 100 million records worldwide and racked up 8 Grammy Awards along the way. His album Raymond v. Raymond gave him a ninth number one single with "OMG", making him one of very few artists to top the Billboard Hot 100 in three consecutive decades. He co founded the label RBMG with Scooter Braun to launch Justin Bieber, coached on The Voice, and his 2024 Super Bowl halftime show pulled in 123 million viewers in the US alone.
