About
Vera Blue is the stage name of Australian singer songwriter Celia Pavey, whose sound sits at a fascinating crossroads of folk warmth and sleek synth pop. She first caught attention on The Voice Australia, where a cover of "Scarborough Fair" racked up over 14 million views online, but the Vera Blue project that followed is where things really took off. Her debut album under the name, Perennial, went Gold in Australia and landed at number six on the ARIA Charts, with "Regular Touch" making triple j's Hottest 100 that same year. She's also a genuine collaborator, appearing on tracks with Flume, Illenium, Louis the Child and Illy, whose single "Papercuts" peaked at number two on the ARIA singles chart. Her third studio album, Mercurial, arrived in 2022, and she continued expanding her sound with Modern Rituals in 2026, citing Madonna, Enya and Bjork as inspiration.
