WASTE are a Belgian band who make a lot of noise, and they mean that literally. Their sound sits somewhere between experimental noise and dark post punk, built around manic vocal outbursts, pounding drums and screaming guitar lines. The music is intense, abrasive and unflinchingly honest, and their live shows are notorious for generating chaotic moshpits and near demolishing whatever stage they play on. The band won De Nieuwe Lichting on Belgian radio station StuBru, and their debut album 'Scream Until It's Beautiful' shows exactly why. Loud, danceable and uncompromising, it pushes past the boundaries of straight punk and noise into more experimental territory. Themes of mental health, self acceptance and social pressure run through the record, all delivered with a dose of irony and self deprecation. It is essentially an ode to misfits, failure and imperfection.
