Water from Your Eyes is a Brooklyn based indie pop act fronted by Rachel Brown, a non binary vocalist who also records solo under the name Thanks for Coming. The band built a following through a run of self released projects before signing to Matador Records, releasing Everyone's Crushed in 2023 and following it up with It's a Beautiful Place in 2025. Their sound sits somewhere in the weirder corners of indie pop, and Brown's instinct for off kilter songwriting has been central to that identity since the early days of their solo recordings. Brown's solo output as Thanks for Coming has been impressively prolific, with a flood of releases going back to 2015 that range from bedroom pop sketches to more fully formed EPs. That restless creative energy carries over into Water from Your Eyes, where the project has grown steadily from a self released debut in 2017 to a full Matador roster slot.
