About
Weekend Nachos built their reputation on some of the most brutal and uncompromising powerviolence to come out of the American Midwest, blending hardcore punk ferocity with sludge metal weight and grindcore velocity. Over five studio albums released mostly through Relapse Records, they refined a sound that was deliberately ugly and unapologetic, with records like Worthless and Still earning them a devoted following in the underground heavy music scene. Their final album, Apology, dropped in 2016 shortly before the band announced they were calling it quits for good. After their last show in January 2017, it looked like that was the end of the story. But in November 2023 they reunited at The Metro in Chicago, opening for Harm's Way alongside All Out War and Fleshwater, and the reunion carried momentum into 2024 with additional shows. Few bands in their corner of heavy music left as deep a mark on the genre.
