About
Wild Rivers are a Canadian indie folk trio from Toronto, and their knack for lush vocal harmonies and bittersweet songwriting has earned them a serious following on both sides of the Atlantic. The band is made up of Devan Glover, Khalid Yassein, and Andrew Oliver, and their 2022 album Sidelines helped push them into a wider spotlight, with the single "Thinking 'Bout Love" going Gold in Canada and later Platinum in Australia. Their 2024 album Never Better pulled in a Juno Award nomination for Adult Alternative Album of the Year, cementing their place as one of Canada's more compelling folk pop acts. They've spent time on the road with some serious company, supporting The Chicks on select World Tour dates and opening for Noah Kahan across Europe, playing rooms in London, Paris, Berlin, and Amsterdam. They also contributed to a charity recording of Serena Ryder's "What I Wouldn't Do", raising funds for youth mental health through Kids Help Phone. For a band that started as a two piece at Queen's University, they've built up quite a body of work.
