Wolf Eyes formed in Michigan back in 1998 and have spent well over two decades carving out a genuinely singular space in experimental music. The duo of John Olson and Nate Young pulls from noise, industrial, avant garde, free jazz and drone to build compositions that feel unsettling and hypnotic at the same time. Their catalogue stretches across a huge number of albums and EPs spread across various independent labels, and their live shows have a reputation for being intense and hard to predict. "Self Embalmed" is a picture disc LP that sits among their more recent work. Wolf Eyes have toured and performed internationally, building a following among listeners who want music that genuinely refuses to play it safe.
