About
Wolfbrigade have been one of Sweden's most relentless crust punk outfits since forming in Mariestad in 1995, originally under the name Wolfpack. The name change in 2000 came for a grim reason: a Swedish neo Nazi prison gang had claimed the same name, so the band cut ties with it entirely. What stayed constant was the music, a ferocious blend of d beat, crust punk, and melodic death metal that Pitchfork once compared to Disfear. Their 2012 return to Studio Fredman for Damned earned them spots at major metal festivals like Hellfest and brought them a whole new audience. After splitting in 2004, they quietly started writing again in 2006 and came back swinging with Prey to the World in 2007. The records kept coming: Comalive, Run with the Hunted, and The Enemy: Reality through Southern Lord in 2019. In 2024 they signed to Metal Blade Records and dropped Life Knife Death, with founding drummer Dadde Stark returning to the kit. To mark their 30th anniversary they recorded Kill to Live live in their own Wolfden Studio, the first release on their own Lycanthro Releases label.
