About Cockney Rejects
Few bands can claim to have accidentally named an entire genre, but Cockney Rejects did exactly that when their 1980 track "Oi, Oi, Oi" gave the Oi! movement its name. Formed in Custom House, East London, by brothers Mick and Jeff Geggus, they signed to EMI after just four gigs and were quickly selling out UK tours.
