About
Four brothers, one band, and a combined résumé that would make most musicians dizzy. Regi on guitar, Roy on drums, Joseph on keyboards and Victor on bass make up the Wooten Brothers, a group whose blend of funk, soul, jazz, R&B and rock is as virtuosic as it is irresistible. Victor alone earned a spot on Rolling Stone's list of the greatest bassists ever, and together the brothers have accumulated ten Grammy Awards and 26 nominations across more than fifty years of performing. They shared a stage with Curtis Mayfield when they were still teenagers. Their live sets draw on a deep catalogue that stretches back to the seventies and eighties, and they carry on the legacy of their brother Rudy, a saxophonist who passed away in 2010, by keeping his parts alive in their music.
