About
YARD is a three piece electro noise band from Dublin whose sound sits somewhere between techno and noise rock, landing as a full on sensory assault. They have a visual identity to match: a creepy mascot called Bucketman who shows up as a kind of unsettling face for the project. Think SUUNS, Gilla Band, Death Grips and Nine Inch Nails thrown together, and you get a rough idea of where YARD are coming from, though the combination is very much their own. They have been building a solid live reputation, with appearances at Eurosonic, The Great Escape and Primavera Pro, and support slots alongside acts like Shame, Psychotic Monks, Mandy Indiana and Enola Gay. People come out sweaty, wired and slightly on edge, which seems to be exactly the point.
