About
Brighton quartet YONAKA punch hard in the rock and alternative rock space, led by the fierce vocals of Theresa Jarvis alongside guitarist George Edwards and bassist Alex Crosby. Their track "Teach Me to Fight" landed a pretty wild placement as the official theme for the WWE pay per view event Fastlane, and later turned up in the Netflix series Fate: The Winx Saga. The title track from their 2018 EP Creature hit number one on the Kerrang! Rock Chart, which set the stage nicely for their debut album Don't Wait 'Til Tomorrow, released in 2019 on Fueled by Ramen. That debut charted in the UK and earned them a Kerrang! Award nomination for Best British Newcomer. They have shared stages with Bring Me the Horizon and Fever 333, and also appeared on BMTH's track "Tapes". Their 2021 mixtape Seize the Power featured Fever 333 and Barns Courtney, and brought a harder, more charged energy to their sound.
