About
Born in Tupelo, Mississippi and now based in Nashville, Zach Moody plays the kind of Americana that feels rooted in real tradition. He is a multi instrumentalist comfortable on piano, banjo, mandoline and drums, though it is his warm voice and guitar work that tend to leave the strongest impression. His songwriting sits squarely in the lineage of classic country and southern rock, with an ear for storytelling that runs through every song he performs. On stage, Moody brings a sincerity that is hard to fake. His southern roots feed directly into how he writes and performs, blending the feel of older country traditions with a slightly more contemporary edge. Whether he is working through an original or inhabiting a song drawn from the American canon, the craftsmanship shows.
