Zach Top is one of the more exciting names in neotraditional country right now, a Washington State native who wears his love of 1990s country loudly and proudly. His debut single to country radio, 'Sounds Like the Radio', was a direct nod to that era, co written with George Strait, Keith Whitley, and Randy Travis as the guiding spirits, and it landed at country radio with a bang, picked up by 55 stations on impact and climbing into the top 20 of the Billboard Country Airplay chart. That song led into his debut album Cold Beer & Country Music, released in 2024 on the independent label Leo33, where he serves as the flagship artist. Before going solo, Top cut his teeth in bluegrass bands, and that background gives his country sound a rootsy, lived in feel that sets him apart from the modern mainstream. His second album, Ain't in It for My Health, arrived in 2025, preceded by the single 'Good Times & Tan Lines', and shows no sign of him softening his honky tonk instincts.
